New charges have been filed against two defendants arrested by officials in New Mexico at a compound linked to “extremist Muslims,” the Taos County Sheriff said.

The compound, where the group was holding 11 children and allegedly training them to carry out school shootings and other shootings against government institutions they felt were at odds with their beliefs, is located in a remote area of the state.
