A new waterpark is opening in Anaheim ahead of the summer.

Adventure Lagoon will sit off Miraloma Avenue on a 14-acre property leased from the Orange County Water District, according to park owner Dave Wabiszewski.

It will include an inner Aqua Park, featuring various giant inflatable items such as a 35-foot-high slide. It will also have a kid’s area with smaller inflatables. It will be the third-largest Aqua Park in the company, according to manufacturer Aquaglide.

The remainder of the park offers paddle boarding, paddle boats, kayaking, a four-acre lazy lagoon where guests can float around on an inner tube, and a beach.

“It’s going to be a really neat park,” Wabiszewski said.

The lake itself is nine acres and has consistent temperatures of 74–78 degrees year-round, he said. The water going into the lake is already purified, making it look crystal clear.

Adventure Lagoon is set to open in June, Wabiszewski said. He’s been working on the project for around three years and said it was stalled due to permitting and COVID-19 restrictions.

Wabiszewski said he got the idea to start the park after passing a similar facility on a road trip.

“It was a funny story, one day my daughter and I were traveling cross-country and I was done with a project I was doing, and my daughter asked me, ‘What are you going to do next, dad?’” he said. “And we drove by a waterpark about 10 minutes later and I said why don’t I open a waterpark? And she looked at me and said, ‘Yeah, whatever dad.’”

The Aqua Park will have the capacity to hold 245 people, and the entire park will be capable of hosting around 400 guests.

Pricing for the park will be $30 to get into the general park for the day. It will cost an additional $15 per hour to access the Aqua Park.

The park will also have different high-end catering trucks.
