The mother of a 2-year-old boy who died after the child’s father was involved in an accident has spoken out.

Mackenzy Trievel told NBC Philadelphia that she was ready to pick up Qadan on 8 p.m. last Tuesday, Oct. 3, after he was staying with Christopher Kuhn, the boy’s father. She got an urgent call that day telling her to go to the hospital to say goodbye to her child.

Kuhn, of Hamilton, remained in the Bucks County jail Wednesday on third-degree murder and other charges. There was no attorney listed in court records, AP reported.

“He’s a disgusting human being,” Trievel said of Kuhn. “He was only worried about himself.”

“I want justice for my son,” she demanded. “The judges never listened to me and now look what happened, my sweet handsome baby boy is gone.”

“He saved my life and I wish I could have saved his I would give anything to hold him again,” she said. “He was the light to my life and ill never forget all the laughs and smiles we shared.”

Tullytown police said that Kuhn fled the Walmart located at Levittown Town Center early on Tuesday afternoon after shoplifting, according to The Trentonian. He was seen using his son as a human shield while security guards pursued him.

The child wasn’t in a safety seat during the accident, AP reported.
