Authentic Mexican cuisine and live mariachi music merge in Tustin, California, with the grand opening of Casa del Sol Cocina Mexicana on Oct. 21.
José Hernández, Grammy Awards nominee and mariachi musician, is welcoming the county and Southern California residents to indulge in Mexican dishes and drinks offered at his new restaurant located in a popular shopping center, the District at Tustin Legacy.
“We’re going to see a lot of family tradition when it comes to food, that has been down from my mother from the state of Jalisco,” Hernández told The Epoch Times. “What makes it really special is Casa del Sol is going to be our official home.”
Hernández’s Mexican cuisine originates from his family in Jalisco, Mexico, and has been passed down for generations.
Hernández and his family have been residents of Orange County for nearly 23 years and were drawn into Tustin by a desire for a restaurant to bring diversity to the area.
Guests can expect to hear live stage music from Fridays through Sundays with a quartet playing throughout the week. They can anticipate special guest performances on the weekend.
Additionally, historical outfits worn by famous performers José Alfredo Jiménez, Vincente Fernandez, Jenni Rivera, Amalia Mendoza, and Vikki Carr will also be on display.
