Three prominent New York City brothers have been indicted in Manhattan federal court on sex trafficking charges.

U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damien Williams announced a three-count indictment charging luxury real estate agents Tal Alexander, 38, and Oren Alexander, 37, and their 37-year-old brother Alon Alexander with sex trafficking.

“As alleged in the Indictment, for more than a decade, the Alexander Brothers, alone and together, repeatedly and violently sexually assaulted and raped dozens of female victims,” Williams said, adding that the investigation “is far from over,” and that anyone with information on the alleged actions should contact his office.

The brothers were arrested in Florida where they will stand before a federal court in Miami.

Lawyers for the brothers have denied the charges listed in the indictment.

The indictment alleged that from 2010 to 2021, the Alexander brothers, who are successful real estate agents “focused on the ultra-luxury market,” used their positions of power to sexually abuse women, relying on deception, drugging, fraud, and coercion.

“The Alexander brothers allegedly conspired using their wealth and status to prey on innocent women, coercing them into engaging in sexual acts,” said FBI Assistant Director in Charge James Dennehy. “We will not allow this type of alleged behavior to go unimpeded.”

New York City Police Department Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the charges “reflect some of the most heinous and dehumanizing crimes of sexual exploitation” the department has encountered.

The “long-running sex trafficking scheme” was based in Manhattan and Miami.

They worked together with other men to allegedly bait women by holding events and going on international trips on which the women were allegedly invited.

“During these events and trips, the defendants frequently raped and sexually assaulted the women they enticed to attend,” the indictment charges.

After allegedly sexually assaulting their victims, they offered “material items, including travel, concert tickets, and other luxury experiences.”

In many cases, the brothers allegedly transported the women across international lines and drugged them with cocaine, mushrooms, and GHB.

“Some of the victims experienced symptoms of impaired physical and mental capacity, including limitations of movement and speech and incomplete memories of events,” the indictment alleged.

In some cases, the victims were physically restrained and continuously assaulted after “explicit requests to stop.”

Each of the brothers has been charged with one count of sex trafficking conspiracy, and one count of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion.

The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty, prosecutors said.

Each count carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
