A series of photos posted on a murderer’s Instagram account apparently shows the events of a teen’s final hours.
Loren Bunner shot Jolee Callan, 18 twice before pushing her from a cliff in August 2015 near the heavily wooded Pinhoti Trail area on Mount Cheaha, Alabama, according to reports.
Bunner took a series of photos of his ex-girlfriend before the incident. It was Bunner’s idea to go hiking that day, messaging a friend, “If something happens to me, you'll know who I was with.”
He posted four photos of the young woman four hours after her death, as The Sun reported Monday, Aug. 21. “I want to turn myself in for the murder of my ex-girlfriend that happened just a little while ago on Cheaha Mountain,” he later told the police.
Later that evening, on Aug. 30, 2015, police found the woman’s body.
He said that he shot her as part of a suicide pact before pushing her from a cliff—but he claimed that he was unable to go ahead with it.
But police believe that he lured Callan, who wanted to remain friends with her ex-boyfriend, because she wouldn’t take him back.
Bunner, 22, pleaded guilty to murder last month. He then got a 52-year prison sentence, AL.com reported.
