Police are looking for two “goons” who apparently robbed a property and then stole the owner, driving off with him in the back of their car as he tried to recover the stolen items.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office issued a video of the robbery in hopes of tracking down two men who were caught loading items into their car from a property when the owner appeared in his SUV.

In the video, the car can be seen driving off with the owner captive in the back seat.

According to a police report, they toyed with the idea of throwing him out of the car, but he escaped uninjured after persuading them to stop and let him out.

Police are appealing for help tracking down the two men and their car, after the incident in Polk City, Florida, on the afternoon of Oct. 8.

Trying to Steal His Phone

The two men had been loading items into the back seat of their car.
When the owner of the property returned, he tried to block their car by pulling his SUV right up against it, and trying to remove the keys from their car, according to the police.

“Unsuccessful with that, he got into the back seat area to steal back the items that were stolen from him,” said a police statement.

“At this time, the two bad guys stole our victim. They drove away with the victim still in the backseat, and began hitting him while trying to steal his cellphone.”

Police are appealing for the public to help. “We need to identify these two goons,” police wrote, saying that anyone with information should come forward.
