A man was killed in a car-to-car shooting on Aug. 3 in Irvine.
The shooting occurred about 12:30 p.m. at Athel Avenue and Sego St., Irvine Police Department Sgt. Karie Davies said. The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Two vehicles fled the area—a black Mercedes-Benz and a white Honda, possibly a Civic or Accord, according to Ms. Davies.
Police were searching the area for surveillance video, Ms. Davies said.
