Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, has been signed by Fox News to host a new weekend prime-time program, according to the outlet.

Fox News announced on Feb. 5 that the new program—“My View with Lara Trump”—will champion the “return of common sense to all corners of American life as the country ushers in a new era of practicality,” an apparent reference to the president’s inaugural promise to bring about a “revolution of common sense” in America.

“My View with Lara Trump” is set to premiere on Feb. 22 and will air on Saturdays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. The program will feature analysis and interviews with thought leaders, exploring key issues affecting families across the country, according to the announcement.

Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media’s chief executive officer, praised Lara Trump as a “gifted communicator who knows how to connect with viewers,” expressing confidence that her unique perspective and political insight will enhance the weekend lineup.

Lara Trump said she views her return to Fox News as an opportunity to reach audiences directly, offering a perspective that champions the policies and achievements of her father-in-law’s administration.

“I’m thrilled to bring my voice back to FOX News, talk directly with the American people, and highlight what makes this country so great,“ she said in the statement. ”As I cover the success of The Golden Age of America, I look forward to where this time will lead our country and where this opportunity will lead me in the future.”

A graduate of North Carolina State University, Lara Trump began her career as a producer for CBS’s “Inside Edition.” She recently served as the Republican National Committee’s (RNC’s) co-chair, playing a key role in her father-in-law’s reelection campaign and the GOP’s congressional victories. Previously, she was a senior adviser to the 2020 Trump campaign and a surrogate in 2016. Beyond politics, she has hosted “The Right View” podcast since 2020, featuring conservative commentary, and was a Fox News contributor from 2021 to 2022.

After serving a year as RNC co-chair, she told The Associated Press in December 2024 that she would “seriously consider” becoming a contender for Florida’s Senate seat following Marco Rubio’s nomination as secretary of state. However, she announced later that month that she had decided to remove her name from consideration.
“After an incredible amount of thought, contemplation, and encouragement from so many, I have decided to remove my name from consideration for the United States Senate,” she said in a post on X. “I remain incredibly passionate about public service and look forward to serving our country again sometime in the future.”

Lara Trump is married to the president’s second son, Eric Trump.
