Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House press secretary, will co-host Fox News’ “Outnumbered” beginning next week, the network’s CEO Suzanna Scott said Tuesday.
McEnany, 32, will co-host the show alongside founding anchor Harris Faulkner, co-host Emily Compagno, and rotating panelists beginning April 6, a news release from Fox News states.
“I am thrilled to join the incredible women of ‘Outnumbered’ and look forward to working alongside the talented Harris Faulkner and Emily Compagno as we discuss the top issues impacting the country,” McEnany said in a statement.
Before joining Fox News as a contributor earlier this month, McEnany served as the White House press secretary beginning April 2020, replacing Stephanie Grisham. She held the the position until former President Donald Trump left office in January.
The Harvard Law School graduate also worked for Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee.
McEnany previously held jobs at CNN and Fox, where she produced for “Huckabee.” She graduated from Harvard Law School in 2016.
A Fox spokesperson previously told The Epoch Times via email that McEnany would be joining the network as an on-air commentator.
The former White House press secretary earlier this year filed a report with the Office of Government Ethics saying she had agreed to work for Fox starting in January. The network at the time clarified that while they had had discussions with her, she was “not currently an employee or contributor at Fox News.”
According to Nielson Media Research cited by Fox News, the network’s “Outnumbered” is the most popular cable news program in its 12 p.m. ET time slot. The hourlong program features regular female panelists and a rotating male guest.
“Kayleigh’s unique background in politics and law coupled with her experiences confronting women’s health challenges and life as a new mom will add robust insight to ‘Outnumbered’—we are delighted to welcome her back to FOX News where she began her media career,” Fox News CEO Scott said.
Since joining the network earlier this month, McEnany has provided political analysis and insight during appearances on programs including “Fox & Friends,” “America Reports,” and “The Five.”
She notably criticized President Joe Biden for the delay in holding his first solo press conference.
“Where’s Joe?” asked McEnany during an appearance on Fox News. “Joe Biden needs to step up. We need to hear from him. He needs to engage in the transparency that he promised us.”
