The city of Irvine, California, is celebrating its 20th annual Global Village Festival on Oct. 9, a multicultural event that shows off a large range of food, crafts, and live performances.

The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Irvine’s Great Park, celebrates 20 years of the event in tandem with the 50th anniversary of Irvine’s incorporation as a city, bringing residents together.

“We are excited to bring the community together again to enjoy the Irvine Global Village Festival at Great Park,” Mayor Farrah Khan said in a statement. “There will be plenty of room outdoors to take in the sounds and sights while spending time with friends and family.”

Usually bringing thousands to enjoy the fun, the event is great for people of all ages who want to experience different cultures. There will be local and global cuisine, music from around the world, an artisan’s marketplace, art exhibits, and more.

People looking to try different food from around the world will be able to purchase items for $3 to $6, watch music and dance performances from different cultures around the world, shop for a variety of handmade goods and art in the artisan’s marketplace, browse art exhibitions and displays featuring traditional clothing, culinary and religious traditions, and history.

Families will have the opportunity to enjoy an expanded Kids’ Village with crafts, interactive activities, and a petting zoo.

There will also be rides available in the Great Park Balloon and carousel.

Admission and general parking are free. Premier parking closer to the festival site will be available for $10 onsite (cash only).
