Three radio stations in Florida have said they will broadcast President Trump’s speeches every hour every day until the 2020 elections to appreciate his work in the area.

The announcement came two days after Trump announced $448 million in new disaster relief funding for the hurricane-devastated area on May 8. The first broadcast will begin on Friday.

“In the wake of the terrible storm, this extraordinary community pulled together and showed the world your unbreakable spirit,” Trump told supporters while announcing the funding at the Make America Great Again (MAGA) rally in Panama City.

“Today, I’m doing the most allowed by law to support the people of Florida. Because of the severity of the storm—Category 5—we will have the federal government pay for 90 percent of the cost in many circumstances.”

The President said there would be no delays to the funding. “No games, no gimmicks, no delays. We are just doing it—You’re getting your money one way or the other,” he said.

A Florida-based media company that had suffered devastating losses during Hurricane Michael and had to rebuild its stations came forward with the broadcast plan.

The stations will air two-minute soundbites from his speeches every hour—sometimes even twice during the hour—every day, reported the Orlando Sentinel.
“Gulf Coast Media, Inc. senior management acknowledged that broadcasting the President’s speeches may not be consistent with conventional commercial FM radio, but we have taken this approach to show the community’s sincere appreciation for President Donald Trump’s work in Panama City and Bay County,” said a statement by the Gulf Coast Media, that operates three FM signals in Florida’s Panhandle.

The media said three stations—BOB-FM (105.1, WASJ), HANK-FM (103.5, WKNK), and Classic Rock (95.9, WRBA)—will broadcast the speeches.

“This past week President Donald Trump arrived in Panama City Beach and stood before hurricane-ravaged residents to tell them that he would do everything he legally could to get more money to help the people of Panama City,” said the Gulf Coast Media.

It said people outside Florida get the impression Floridians are used to the hurricane destruction and ignore the losses suffered there, adding that they were encouraged by the president’s speech in Panama City Beach on Wednesday.

“People have forgotten about us and the community is so thankful that President Donald Trump made it crystal clear that he was here to help us,” the outlet said.
The President had held “Democrat obstruction” responsible for the termination of recovery work in the region. Trump had opposed hurricane aid for Puerto Rico and the Democrats had in return blocked some assistance to regions including the Florida Panhandle, reported the Fox News.

The United States had given $91 billion to Puerto Rico to recover from hurricane Maria, which hit in 2017. “The most money we’ve ever given to anybody. We’ve never given $91 billion to a state. We gave Puerto Rico $91 billion ... and they don’t like me,” Trump said.

A spokesman for Gulf Coast Media, Samuel Rogatinsky, told The Wrap that the people are really thankful for the promises of assistance and the media is getting positive reactions from listeners.

“The community really embraces Donald Trump and we are giving them what they want,” Rogatinsky said.

If requested by other presidential candidates, Gulf Coast Media would be needed to offer equal time to them to adhere to the Federal Communications Commission’s equal time guidelines.

“If anybody requests it, it won’t be an issue,” Rogatinsky said. “If Bernie Sanders wants equal time then we’re going to comply with the law.”
