Hundreds of people gathered outside the Supreme Court overnight after a draft opinion was published.
It remains unclear when the actual opinion in the case at hand, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, will be issued.
In Washington overnight, pro-abortion protesters chanted phrases like “abortion is healthcare” and “anti-choice is so 50 [expletive] years ago.”
“It hurts so much to know that it might be ripped away from me,” one protester told WRC-TV.
Those in favor of the court’s apparent decision chanted “hey, hey, ho, ho, Roe v. Wade has got to go.”
They also prayed.
People arrived outside the building within hours of the purported opinion being published.
Supreme Court officers stood on the steps of the building, behind barricades.
No arrests were reported.
