Yorba Linda Holiday on Main Street

Join in on the 32nd annual “Holiday on Main Street” held on the city’s historic Main Street, dedicated to family-friendly holiday activities including a train, balloon artist, face painting, live music, drinks, and a special appearance from Santa Claus. Visitors looking for a festive night out are encouraged to join in, and proceeds will support local businesses and community groups.

Narrated Nutcracker for Families

Held at the Huntington Beach Festival Ballet Theatre, this 45-minute, narrated rendition of the Nutcracker is designed to introduce young children to the “beauty of classical ballet and music,” according to promoters.

Celebrate the season with ballet heroine Clara, her Nutcracker, the Mouse King, and the Sugar Plum Fairy as they take audiences on a magical journey to the mystical Kingdom of Sweets. Those looking to attend are urged to reserve tickets soon, as half of Sunday performances have sold out.

Bolsa Chica Beach Cleanup

Participants at this event can plan on a morning of volunteering, education, and fun by cleaning up the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve and preventing litter and debris from entering the wetlands, canals, and the Pacific Ocean.

After cleaning up trash from the ecological reserve and beach, volunteers will learn from local educational partners about the beach and wetlands, then tour the Bolsa Chica Conservancy Interpretive Center. As an added bonus, volunteers will also receive “sustainably” created reusable gift bags.

Newport Pickleball and Lunch

Looking for a new hobby? You are invited to the Tennis and Pickleball Club in Newport Beach, where the venue is offering a free lunch and tour of their facility for all interested in joining or wishing to learn more. New and prospective members are encouraged to attend and will have the chance to play some pickleball, meet new people, and have lunch with the club’s team. Reservations are required to attend.

Christmas ‘Sip and Paint’: Kids Edition

Take the kids on a festive afternoon to “bring a blank canvas to life” with instructor Flor the “Sip and Paint Queen,” a local paint party host for guests of all ages. Tickets include step-by-step instructions on how to create a festive holiday painting, all supplies, hot cocoa, and holiday treats. This event is recommended for children ages 5 and up, and only one adult per ticketed child will be admitted.

Nixon Library’s Hometown Heroes Christmas Tree Dedication

Join the families of Southern California’s military heroes at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum for their annual Hometown Heroes Christmas Tree Dedication. More than 60 Gold Star families will be given personally inscribed ornaments honoring their family members who lost their lives in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam.
