MaxLove Project Cancer Walk

The walk is hosted by Tanaka Farms in Irvine and sponsored by Orange-based nonprofit MaxLove Project to fundraise in support of patients of childhood cancers and pediatric rare diseases and their families.

Newport Beach International Boat Show

Set to take place on the scenic Lido Marina Village, this three-day event includes both on-water and on-land exhibitions, entertainment, and a show that will transform the Lido Marina into a European-style coastal experience for all to enjoy, according to organizers. A selection of boats and yachts will be on display, ranging from high-performance powerboats and sailboats to luxury super yachts and more.

‘Once Upon A Time in Ireland’ Story Time

Enjoy the picturesque outdoors at Casa Romantica and a children’s Irish storytelling performance in which a reader brings “intriguing tales of fairy folk, giants, wise women, leprechauns and supernatural creatures” to life.

After the performance, visitors may explore the venue’s art gallery and gardens while learning about the history of San Clemente and its founder, Ole Hanson. This concert is recommended for children but all are welcome to join.

‘Running Is for the Birds’ 5k and 10k Run

Join this beachside run to raise awareness on protecting the Huntington Beach coastline. The event also includes a beach cleanup at Bolsa Chica State Beach and “plogging,” or picking up litter while jogging.

Orangewood Fest: ‘Epic Party at The Dunes’

Bring the family to enjoy a day of food trucks, bounce houses, silent disco yoga, turf fitness classes, and more at the Newport Back Bay. This event is free, with all donations going to the Orangewood Foundation’s programs which help Orange County’s youth in need.

YMCA Healthy Kids Day

To celebrate kids being kids, the local YMCA is hosting a day of fun activities including adult and youth fitness demos, bounce house and inflatable obstacle courses, outdoor s’mores fire pit, tasty food and drinks, and much more. This event is also ideal for parents wanting to learn more about summer activities available at their local YMCA day camp for their children.

San Clemente ‘Family Fest’

The family fest features carnival games, bounce houses, activity booths, and delicious food trucks. The event supports the Wellness and Prevention Center, a San Clemente-based non-profit that provides mental health and substance use prevention services to youth and families in South Orange County.
