LOS ANGELES—The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is on the hunt for a man known as the “Black & White Sneaker Bandit” who has robbed at least eight banks in Orange County in recent months.
The bandit was caught on camera in multiple occurrences wearing a dark-colored shirt, jeans, and either a baseball cap or beanie, according to FBI Los Angeles’ Twitter page.
While his appearance slightly changed in each incident, he consistently wore black sneakers with white soles.
The unidentified man is connected to robberies in the cities of Fullerton, Huntington Beach, and Costa Mesa, according to the FBI.
The robberies occurred between October 2021 and January 2022, an FBI spokesperson told the Orange County Register.
