Disneyland fanatics can look forward to the return of ‘World of Color,’ ‘Fantasmic,’ and the ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’ in 2022, the theme park announced on Nov. 20.
The favored nighttime entertainment offered at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be coming back after being temporarily discontinued since the COVID-19 pandemic theme park closure.
Josh D’Amaro, Disney Park’s chairman, made the announcement Saturday during the Destination D23 convention at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Disney fans automatically rejoiced once Disney Parks Tweeted the news live from the event.
“Sooo happy World of Color is returning,” Disneyland fan Carmen Driver wrote on Twitter. “It truly is Disney’s most spectacular and emotional nighttime show.”
Jessica Saunders, owner of The Happiest Blog on Earth, applauded the reopening of the famous nighttime attractions.
“These types of events are the perfect finale to any day at Disneyland and soon you'll have more to choose from in addition to seasonal fireworks and projections, which are often referred to by the Walt Disney Company as a ‘kiss goodnight,’” Saunders told The Epoch Times.
Saunders said she is looking forward to the World of Color returning along with a dessert party package that is available for guests to purchase and receive premium views of the show while being served drinks and dessert.
“It’s a fantastic date night, ladies’ night, or splurge for a family vacation,” she said.
Disney Dad blogger on Instagram added to the excitement of the evening shows return as they bring visitors together to enjoy the art and entertainment.
“Shows such as World of Color and Fantasmic also bring a magical intimacy as you feel like you are a part of them,” he told The Epoch Times. “No other theme park can replicate the way these shows are presented at Disneyland.”
While there is no official date for the evening festivities to begin, the Main Street Electrical Parade will arrive in time for its 50th anniversary.
