Disney announced on Jan. 16 that it resumed sales of its Magic Key Annual passes, which allow guests to reserve admission dates for its theme parks in Anaheim, California, year-round for a flat rate.
Sales were paused since the parks’ closures from 2020 through early 2021 due to COVID-19 lockdowns.
A limited number of passes are available for purchase online as of Jan. 18, but sales are paused at 10 p.m. each night, according to the Magic Key website. Guests can, however, remain in the virtual queue overnight and come back the next day.
The park offers multiple tiers for its annual passes. The higher the tier, the more entry dates are allowed throughout the year.
According to the park’s site, the “Inspire Key” costs $1,599, the “Believe Key” $1,099, and the “Imagine Key”—available only to Southern California residents in the 90000 to 93599 zip codes—$449.
The “Enchant Key,” previously $649, is now available only for previous passholders to renew for $699.
The highest-tiered includes free parking—normally $30—discounts on food and merchandise, and 20 percent off “Magic Genie+,” which allows guests to skip select lines for an additional fee.
The Southern Californian pass gives holders 25 percent off Toy Story lot parking and 10 percent off select food and merchandise. It only allows entrance on select weekdays throughout the year, according to Disneyland Resort. Park officials say the pass is expected to sell out in the next few days.
For those interested in purchasing a Magic Key pass, monthly payment options are available without interest, according to park officials.
