A California teacher who disclosed details about an aide to President Donald Trump when he was in the third grade has been suspended.
She claimed that his behavior at the time concerned her and called him “a loner” who was “isolated and off by himself all the time.”
The article was widely lambasted as people questioned why a teacher would disclose details about any student to the press, much less a third-grader.
Suspension
Fiske has been suspended and placed on home assignment as the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District decides if it will take any action against her for the disclosure, reported the Los Angeles Times. The school district’s concern is “about her release of student information, including allegations that the release may not have complied with applicable laws and district policies,” district spokeswoman Gail Pinsker told the outlet. “This has been picked up by other digital publications and blogs, and some issues have been raised.”
“Bullying is defined as repeated, intentional, and power-imbalanced behavior that makes other people feel uncomfortable or threatened. It can be physical, emotional, and/or cyber,” the handbook states.
