Burlingame: Man Fatally Hit by Train Friday Identified

A man fatally struck by a Caltrain in the evening of  Aug. 24 in Burlingame was identified today as Alexander Wolf, according to the San Mateo County coroner’s office.

Wolf, 18, of Burlingame, was hit at 6:38 p.m. on the tracks at Morrell Avenue by southbound train No. 380, authorities said.

None of the 370 passengers on board were reported injured. Caltrain officials said it was the agency’s seventh fatal collision this year.

The collision is still under investigation, according to the coroner’s office.
