LAPD vice officers conducted a series of undercover surveillance operations from Dec. 10 through Dec. 16 along the Figueroa Corridor targeting lewd conduct, prostitution, and human trafficking, according to the department.
During the operations, undercover officers observed numerous individuals approaching and soliciting women for sexual services, the report said.
Officers said they also observed the interactions and services occurring in public and in nearby residential neighborhoods in view of families and children and consequently made arrests.
Additionally, officers identified a minor who was a victim of human trafficking. The victim was rescued, reunited with family, and provided services by the department, officials said.
The investigation into the victim’s exploiters is still ongoing, according to the report.
The arrests are part of an ongoing effort intended to prevent the trafficking of women and minors along the corridor, officials said.
