LITTLEROCK, Calif.—Authorities April 29 identified one of the five people who were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Pearblossom (SR138) Highway in the Littlerock area.
The collision was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 8:12 p.m. Sunday on eastbound Pearblossom Highway at 106th Street East.
People were reported trapped in both cars, described by witnesses as a blue-gray Mitsubishi sedan and a blue Toyota Yaris.
The drivers of both cars were killed and three other people were also killed in one of the vehicles, CHP Officer E. Larsen told City News Service. All were pronounced dead at the scene.
On Monday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified one of the people who died as 23-year-old Corry Holley, Jr. His city of residence was not immediately known.
Among the four other people who died—whose identities were not available for release—were a man in his 60s and a man in his 20s, the medical examiner’s office reported.
Traffic was routed away from the area for several hours while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
