LOS ANGELES—Four suspects allegedly involved in multiple thefts from retail stores in Los Angeles, Carson, Lakewood, and surrounding cities were arrested, the Los Angeles Police Department Organized Retail Crime Task Force announced Oct. 17.
Task force detectives executed two search warrants Thursday at unspecified residential locations in Los Angeles where Daronica Harris and Quenda Scott were both arrested, police said.
Both suspects were booked for grand theft and held in lieu of $150,000 bail. Detectives conducted further investigation and arrested two additional suspects, one for an outstanding felony warrant, the other for identity theft, police said.
The third and fourth suspects’ names were not made available. During a preliminary investigation, detectives discovered one loaded stolen firearm, approximately $1,800 in cash, smash-and-grab tools, along with multiple items stolen from the retail stores, police said.
Employees of the victimized business identified their merchandise. Approximately $4,500 worth of stolen items have been returned, police said.
