Newport Beach, Calif.—A fire destroyed three mobile homes and damaged three others Wednesday in Newport Beach, but no one was hurt.
The blaze broke out about 10 a.m. at the Beach/Bay Mobile Home Port at 7204 West Coast Highway, said city spokesman John Pope.
The cause of the fire was unknown, but it started in one of the mobile homes and spread to the others. Twenty-eight other mobile homes were spared damage, Mr. Pope said.
Tenants were evacuated and two people were evaluated by paramedics at the scene for minor smoke inhalation, but there were no major injuries, Mr. Pope said.
Newport Beach Police posted photos of the fire to X, formerly known as Twitter, and reported the fire was under investigation.
The Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and Costa Mesa fire departments fought the blaze and contained the fire. Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach firefighters also helped cover other stations in Newport Beach, officials told the Los Angeles Times.
The newspaper said Red Cross reported the fire took the mobile homes of eight adults and one child.
