An early morning shooting at a house party in North Carolina on Saturday left three people dead and four others injured, authorities confirmed.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a “gunfight had erupted inside the home” while a house party was ongoing and seven people were struck in the gunfire.
The identities of the victims, of which three were fatally injured, have not been released as authorities are working to notify family members and investigate the crime scene.
The conditions of those injured are unknown.
Police haven’t immediately announced any arrest or identified a suspect(s) in the shooting and a motive is yet to be determined.
“Our hearts go out to all affected by this senseless violence, and we ask that anyone with information surrounding this incident please come forward so that we may find justice,” the department wrote on Twitter.
