Two children were ejected when two trucks collided in Texas.
The crash took place in Atascocita, and both children were in the back seat of one of the trucks in the crash, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
ABC13 reported that one child was airlifted via Life Flight to a nearby hospital. The other child was taken to a medical facility via ambulance.
The conditions of the two children are not clear.
Neither child was wearing a seat belt, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told ABC13.
The driver of the truck that was hit was taken to the hospital, Click2Houston reported.
Investigators said a truck that was westbound on Atascocita Road T-boned a truck that was making a left turn.
Atascocita is located about 20 miles northeast of Houston.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “For adults and older children (who are big enough for seat belts to fit properly), seat belt use is one of the most effective ways to save lives and reduce injuries in crashes. Yet millions do not buckle up on every trip.”
