An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place after a schoolboy was stabbed to death in England.
Justice Will-Mamah of Coniston Way, Bletchley, is accused of murdering a 16-year-old boy near Milton Keynes College on Friday afternoon.
He was arrested on Friday and charged on Sunday night with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place. He remained in custody and was due to appear before Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Another 17-year-old boy from Milton Keynes was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice. He remains in custody.
Underage suspects do not get identified outside the court in the UK.
The victim has not yet been formally identified.
According to Thames Valley Police, the 16-year-old was stabbed near the junction of Palace Square and Rainbow Drive in Leadenhall before moving towards the Chaffron Way campus of Milton Keynes College and collapsing on the ground.
Health care students and a member of staff from the college who were in a class overlooking the path where the boy collapsed rushed to provide first aid before emergency services arrived, but the boy later died at Milton Keynes General Hospital.
A post-mortem examination found he died from a stab wound to the back of the chest.
