Bloggers are claiming they’ve found a “UFO” flying near the International Space Station (ISS), as captured on a live camera feed.
According to UFO Sightings Daily, a YouTube user “caught an object that looks big, but I feel its much closer than we think. It has match speed with the space station as to follow it perfectly.”
The video footage was captured by the ISS in November and later uploaded to YouTube. It shows a large, smudge-looking object over the Earth off in the distance. The size and shape of the grayish-white object could not be made out.
In mid-October, an ISS leave stream captured another UFO when astronauts were doing a spacewalk, according to MailOnline, which noted there was speculation that “UFO” was actually a resupply craft.
Flight Engineers Reid Wiseman of NASA and Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency were doing a routine spacewalk. The alleged UFO could be seen in the background before the camera cuts to another spot.
However, at the time, the Space X Dragon ship and Soyuz TMA 14M were docked at the ISS. There were no other pending resupply crafts.
Another explanation could be lensflare, as light could have bounced off the ISS and spotted by the camera. The November footage showing the grey, smudge-looking object (as seen in the pictures above) could be the same.
