A 24-year-old Anaheim woman is dead following a Feb. 23 suspected impaired driving-related crash in Tustin.

The woman was a passenger in a BMW sedan heading southbound on the 55 Freeway, just north of the I-5 freeway, California Highway Patrol (CHP) said.

The car she was riding in crashed into the back of a Lexus SUV about 2:05 a.m., officers said.

The driver of the Lexus, a 22-year-old woman from Newport Beach, received “moderate” injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the BMW, 27-year-old Anthony Robles from Rowland Heights, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was later arrested for driving under the influence.

The name of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has not been released.
