WASHINGTON—The fast erosion of liberties during the pandemic this year brought Eric Moutsos, president of Utah Business Revival, to Washington during a mass protest against election fraud.

Tens of thousands gathered to join marches and rallies in Washington on Dec. 12, petitioning the government for fair elections and transparent counting, and showing vocal support for President Donald Trump. Similar grassroots protests took place every Saturday since the general election in capitals across the 50 states.

“It’s wrong. It’s theft. As a former police officer myself, who understands the Constitution, it’s immoral to take away somebody’s business to to go in and say, ‘you’re essential, but you’re not essential.’ And if these government officials are going to do that, they need to not take a paycheck,” Moustos said. “You cannot have liberty without morality, freedom plus morality equals liberty.”

“There’s no way to have liberty without good decisions. And so, if we don’t stand up, right now, everybody use their voices, every business owner comes out and says no more. We’re gonna lose America,” he said.

Moustos has received loud backlash because of his opinions.

“They shame you, they say they say things like, you want to kill people? Well, deaths of despair. People don’t understand that every 1 percent of unemployment in America equals 35,000 deaths of despair over a six-year period between suicide, between heart attack, between alcohol, liver problems, that’s just 1 percent. We go to a 30 percent unemployment, how many deaths are we going to have? And so we have to stop this immediately. And if we get into this next administration that hijacks the election, I think we’re never going to be able to recover economically,” Moustos said.

Between the false race divisions, the shutdowns, and now the elections, Moustos said, “this entire 2020 is a lie. And if the American people can’t see this, we’re never going to be able to recover.”

“I would say that everything that we have built ourselves up to today, if we do not stand on principle, not a politician, but if we don’t stand on the principles of freedom, we’re not going to have any left,” he said. “Whether you’re conservative, liberal, anything, if we don’t have the free market, our entire world economy rests on the American economy. And our enemies know that. They know that if they take out the American economy, everything falls apart.”

Moustos agreed that a battle being fought is between good and evil ideologies.

“Our country was born because our founders fled England, because England was forcing ideas that were immoral on the people. So America was born,” he said. “The only way that we get it back, is by the same principles pushing back against the radical ideas, and then we can be reborn.”

“We’re gonna have to stand up for our freedom and liberty in order to preserve it for our posterity,” he said.

Moustos also had a message for President Trump: “We stand with you.”

“We stand with you and fight, just fight, do not allow this to happen,” he said. “Because of President Trump allows this to go down. And if he doesn’t fight back, we’re never, ever, ever going to recover. Not ever. We'll never have another election again. And not a fair one. Why run? Why run for anything? And so I hope he fights.”

“We need to get God back into this country. He’s the one that established this land. And if we don’t call upon his help, we’re not going to make it,” he added.
