Trump Slams Obama: ‘I’ll Never Forgive Him’ for Not Funding Military Properly

President Donald Trump responded after former First Lady Michelle Obama slammed Trump in her upcoming memoir.

He was asked by a reporter about the comment on Nov. 9 before he got on a plane. “She got paid a lot of money to write a book. And they always insist that you come up with controversial,” Trump told reporters.

Trump didn’t specifically address the former first lady’s comments, but he made a statement about former President Obama’s administration and how it dealt with the military.

“Well, I’ll give you a little controversy back. I’ll never forgive him for what he did to our United States military. By not funding properly, it was depleted. Everything was old and tired. And I came in and I had to fix it,“ the president said. ”What he did to the military made this country very unsafe.”

The president is heading to Paris to commemorate the 100th anniversary for the end of World War I.

During the same press gaggle, Trump also responded to questions about acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker and special counsel Robert Mueller.

When CNN’s Abby Phillip asked Trump whether he wants Whitaker to reign in Mueller, he told her that it’s a “stupid question” and she  “asks a lot of stupid questions.”

“You’ve got to treat the White House and the office of the presidency with respect,” Trump also stated.

CNN’s Jim Acosta had his press pass revoked after he refused to hand over a microphone to a White House aide who tried to take it from him.

In the recent press gaggle, Trump suggested that more credentials could be taken away.

“I think Jim Acosta’s a very unprofessional man,” Trump said on Nov.9, the Daily Caller reported. “He does that with everybody. He gets paid to do that. He gets paid to burst in. He’s a very unprofessional guy. Whether it was me or Ronald Reagan or anybody else, he would have done the same thing.”
