Former President Donald Trump on March 8 endorsed Republican Arkansas Sen. John Boozman for reelection in 2022.

“Senator John Boozman is a great fighter for the people of Arkansas. He is tough on Crime, strong on the Border, a great supporter of our Military and our Vets, and fights for our farmers every day. He supports our Second Amendment and has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Trump wrote in a statement released through his Save America political action committee.

Boozman has served in the Senate since 2011. In 2016, he defeated U.S. Attorney Conner Eldridge with 59.8 percent of the vote.

“I’m grateful to have Pres. Trump’s endorsement for my re-election to the Senate,” Boozman wrote on Twitter on Monday. “We worked together to lower taxes, roll back regulations, secure our border, defend our Second Amendment rights and Protect Life.”

“We rebuilt our military, stood up for our veterans, helped our farmers through challenging & unprecedented times, confirmed 3 conservative Justices to the Supreme Court and completely reshaped the judiciary,” Boozman added. “I’ll always put Arkansas first and defend our values & freedoms.”

Trump has rolled out a steady stream of endorsements since leaving office. The president endorsed top Ohio Republican Bob Paduchik on Feb. 24 to lead the state’s GOP. Paduchik was elected for the post four days later.

In the most recent round of endorsements on March 5, Trump announces his support for Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, and the Arkansas attorney general bid by the state’s Republican Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin. Trump has also endorsed his former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for the governor of Arkansas and the reelection bids of Republican Sens. John Kennedy (La.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Jerry Moran (Kansas).

In addition to backing incumbents, Trump has vowed to back primary challengers against the incumbent House Republicans who voted to impeach him. He endorsed former White House official Max Miller on Feb. 26 in the U.S House primary contest against Ohio Rep. Anthony Gonzales, who voted in favor of impeachment. The former president also vowed to travel to Alaska to campaign against Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
