Thieves Steal $100,000 in Jewelry From Downtown LA Hotel Guests in Gunpoint Robbery

LOS ANGELES—Thieves stole jewelry valued at $100,000 from three victims Dec. 7 in a gunpoint robbery in downtown Los Angeles, police say.

Officers were called at 12:58 a.m. to the InterContinental Hotel at 900 Wilshire Blvd, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Two men about 5-feet-6 inches to 5-feet-8 inches tall, wearing masks approached the victims, took about $100,000 worth of jewelry from them at gunpoint, then fled in a black, older-model BMW, authorities said.

Three victims reportedly were robbed of their jewelry and other possessions, ABC7 reported.

The robbery occurred near the valet area, with the thieves getting away with a number of rings and a watch, according to ABC7.

No injuries were reported.
