SEATTLE—Justin Fedukovich, a manager at Boeing Company, and his wife Casey were very excited to see Shen Yun’s evening show at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall on April 1.
“I’ve seen the ads online and it really just captivated me. I grabbed a brochure and I’d given it to [Casey] saying we should look into this—she surprised me and had already bought the tickets for us!” said Mr. Fedukovich.
“[The show] was just wonderful. It caught us by surprise just how artistic and choreographed everything was—so remarkably well performed!”
Mrs. Fedukovich loved that Shen Yun is bringing back traditional culture and thought the whole show was breathtaking.
“It made such an impact just to be able to see such a beautiful historical culture.” She thought it was absolutely important that we preserve our culture because “if we’re not careful, we’re going to lose it.”
For Mr. Fedukovich, what really surprised him was that “there was so much depth to the performance.”
“There was no language barrier, it was all interpretive and easy to understand. It was a pleasant surprise all the way around. Phenomenal!”Mrs. Fedukovich chimed in that she felt the same way about the songs by Shen Yun’s vocalists.
“It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what language it is. If you just kind of close your eyes and listen to what they’re saying, it takes you away.”
The couple will absolutely be recommending Shen Yun to their friends.
Mrs. Fedukovich will be telling them that “it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see something that you would not see anywhere else. [Shen Yun] gives you a glimpse into a life and history different from our own.”
“I’ll say firsthand that it’ll make a grown man cry,” Mr. Fedukovich added.
“It’s a touching experience—one of those things that’s hard to describe. I just recommend getting here and seeing it.”
