NEW YORK—From the front lines to the home front, America’s military veterans and first responders are committed to serving our nation and our community, and protecting us.
“We’re proud to launch Battlefields and to partner with an incredible group of veterans and first responders,” said Jasper Fakkert, editor-in-chief of The Epoch Times.
“These are stories that deserve to be told, and we can’t think of better people to tell them. We invite our readers to the Battlefields space to gain a better understanding of the issues that matter to veterans, first responders, and their supporters.”
Retired Lt. Col. Charles Faint, owner and executive director of The Havok Journal, brings his vast knowledge and experience to Battlefields. He retired from the Army after 27 years of service as an officer in the Infantry and Military Intelligence branches. He completed seven combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The Battlefields project provides a unique opportunity for America to hear directly from our military veterans and first responders as they share their experiences on the front lines and the home front,” Faint said.
“As a war veteran and a peace officer, I think it’s vitally important that venues like the Battlefields project exist.
“I’m grateful for the partnership between The Epoch Times and The Havok Journal and to have this platform to help our nation’s warriors share their perspectives and experiences with the nation that they serve.”
The Battlefields staff is a diverse collective of military veterans and first responders and their supporters, who share their thoughts and experiences on the front lines and the home front through The Epoch Times.
In their own words, and from their own hearts, these ... are their Battlefields.
