The Temple City High School in Temple City, California, was evacuated Friday morning over a bomb threat.

KNX 1070 Newsradio and reporter Vicky Moore reported that the sheriff’s department is investigating.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff wrote on Twitter: “Deputies thoroughly searching campus w/ #LASD K-9 dogs, helicopter to ensure safety. Streets blocked.”

Police also said to avoid the area.

ABC-7 reported that classes were called off for the day.

They said that all students were evacuated, meaning none are on campus, but it is unclear if they were sent home.

“Bomb threat at Temple City HS. I could hear the chopper telling everyone to evacuate!” a Twitter user wrote.

Julie Sone with ABC-7 reported that the bomb threat was called in at 6:40 a.m.
