North Carolina rallied but couldn’t finish the job on Friday against Ole Miss in the NCAA tournament, and it left a dubious distinction that’s bigger than the Tar Heels.

With UNC out, the ACC has only one team left, Duke, in the Big Dance among the four that originally made it. That marks the first time the ACC will have one or no teams in the second round of the tournament since 1975 according to ESPN Stats and Info.
