Chase McGrath’s 40-yard field goal as time expired lifted No. 6 Tennessee to an epic 52–49 victory over No. 3 Alabama on Saturday night in Knoxville, Tenn.
Tennessee (6–0, 3–0 Southeastern Conference) snapped a 15-game losing streak against the Crimson Tide (6–1, 3–1) and beat Alabama for the first time since Nick Saban became the Tide’s coach in 2007.
Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker set up the game-winning score by driving the Volunteers 45 yards in only 13 seconds on two long completions to Ramel Keyton and Bru McCoy to give them the ball at the Alabama 23.
Hooker completed 21 of 30 passes for 385 yards and threw five touchdown passes. He connected on all five of his touchdown passes with receiver Jalin Hyatt, who finished with six catches for 207 yards.

Stetson Bennett threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to their second straight shutout of the visiting Commodores in a Southeastern Conference game in Athens, Ga.Bennett went 24–for–30 passing and completed at least one pass to eight Bulldogs (7–0, 4–0 SEC) before being replaced by Carson Beck with 38 seconds left in the third quarter and Georgia leading 34–0. DJ Uiagalelei threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another as the Tigers beat the host Seminoles in Tallahassee, Fla.Uiagalelei completed 15 of 23 passes for 203 yards and no interceptions for Clemson (7–0, 5–0 ACC). He logged 14 carries for 26 yards. Will Shipley paced the Tigers’ rushing attack with 121 yards on 20 carries. He also had a 69-yard kick return and a team-high six catches for 48 yards.

Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum combined for 339 rushing yards and four touchdowns as the Wolverines overpowered the Nittany Lions in Ann Arbpr, Mich.The Wolverines (7–0, 4–0 Big Ten) held a two-point advantage at halftime, but the ground game allowed for the lead to quickly expand. Corum’s 61-yard touchdown run gave the Wolverines a 14-point cushion.

Cameron Rising followed up the last of his three touchdown runs with a successful two-point conversion carry with 48 seconds remaining, and the Utes handed the Trojans their first loss in a wild victory in Salt Lake City.Rising, whose 415 yards on 29–of–43 passing were the most by a Utah (5–2, 3–1 Pac-12) quarterback in 17 years, also finished with a team-high 60 yards rushing.

Kendre Miller scored on a 2-yard touchdown run in double overtime to give the Horned Frogs a win over the Cowboys in Fort Worth, Texas.Miller rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries, and Max Duggan went 23–for–40 passing for 286 yards and two touchdowns for TCU (6–0, 3–0 Big 12).

Quinshon Judkins, Zach Evans and Jaxson Dart each rushed for over 100 yards as the Rebels beat the visiting Tigers in Southeastern Conference play at Oxford, Miss.Judkins ran for 139 yards on 25 carries with two TDs on the ground and one receiving for Ole Miss (7–0, 3–0 SEC), while Evans notched 136 yards on 21 attempts with a rushing and receiving score.

Chris Rodriguez rushed for 196 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Wildcats rallied from a third-quarter deficit to top the Bulldogs in Lexington, Ky.Rodriguez scored on a 16-yard run with 11:43 left in the game to give Kentucky (5–2, 2–2 SEC) a 20-10 advantage. After Mississippi State (5–2, 2–2) pulled within three points on a 59-yard interception return by Emmanuel Forbes with 8:33 left, Rodriguez tacked on a 7-yard touchdown run at the 5:30 mark to seal the outcome.

Dillon Gabriel threw for 403 yards and two touchdowns, Eric Gray ran for 176 yards and two scores and the Sooners powered their way to a victory over the Jayhawks at Norman, Okla.The win snapped Oklahoma’s three-game losing streak, its longest since 1998. After collecting 550 yards combined over the last two games, the Sooners finished with 701 yards Saturday. It was Oklahoma’s most total yards against an FBS opponent since 2018. Oklahoma (4–3, 1–3 Big 12) took the lead for good at 21-14 on Jovantae Barnes’ 6-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter.

Quinn Ewers passed for 172 yards and three touchdowns as the Longhorns outlasted the Cyclones in Austin, Texas.Bijan Robinson ran for 135 yards on 28 carries and added 36 yards receiving for the Longhorns (5–2, 3–1 Big 12).

Chase Brown finished with 233 yards from scrimmage as the host Illini beat the Gophers at Champaign, Ill.Brown rushed for 180 yards on 41 carries and also hauled in three receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown to lead the Fighting Illini (6–1, 3–1 Big Ten) to their fifth straight win. Illini quarterback Tommy Devito threw for 252 yards and a touchdown on 25–of–32 passing.
Georgia Southern 45, No. 25 James Madison 38
Quarterback Kyle Vantrease set a school record with 578 passing yards and threw four touchdowns, including the game-winner with 1:10 remaining, to help the Eagles stun the Dukes in Statesboro, Ga.James Madison (5–1, 3–1 Sun Belt) took the lead with 2:28 left when Todd Centeio threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Greene Jr. But the Eagles (4–3, 1–2)responded by driving 75 yards in 10 plays, going ahead on Vantrease’s final TD pass to Derwin Burgess Jr.
Vantrease completed 38 of 64 passes and threw two touchdowns to Amare Jones and one each to Burgess and Jalen White. James Madison got a stellar effort from Centeio, who completed 28 of 48 passes for 468 yards and two touchdowns but tossed three interceptions.
