Chaos hit the AP Poll again this week with some stunning results on Saturday. Mississippi beat Georgia in the rain, and Georgia Tech stunned Miami to knock two teams out of the top five. In the Big 12, Kansas hung on to beat Iowa State; and Pittsburgh lost to Virginia at home to impact the ACC standings.
The SEC gives us the biggest game of the weekend again this Saturday with Tennessee traveling to Georgia with potential playoff implications on the line.

1. Oregon (10–0, Big Ten)

After dominating Maryland, Oregon remains the No. 1 team in the land—and they’re the unanimous top team in this week’s AP Poll. They’re at Wisconsin on Saturday night.

2. Ohio State (8–1, Big Ten)

Ohio State dominated a bad Purdue team this weekend and moved up to No. 2 in the poll. This weekend presents a unique challenge: They’ll play a pedestrian Northwestern team at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The dimensions will be different.

3. Texas (8–1, SEC)

The Longhorns blowing out Florida moves them up two spots in the poll this week. They visit Arkansas this Saturday. With the loss by Georgia this past weekend, Texas is now the highest-ranked team in the SEC.

4. Penn State (8–1, Big Ten)

The Nittany Lions dominated Washington and moved up two spots this week. They’re at Purdue this weekend against a bad Boilermakers team.

5. Indiana (10–0, Big Ten)

Undefeated through the first 10 weeks of the regular season, the Indiana Hoosiers are ranked in the top five in the AP Poll for the first time since 1967. They have a bye week before traveling to Columbus for a huge game at Ohio State.

6. Tennessee (8–1, SEC)

The Volunteers beat Mississippi State with relative ease on Saturday and also move up one spot in the poll. The big game this weekend is the Vols at Georgia.

7. BYU (9–0, Big 12)

BYU escaped with a one-point win at Utah and moved up two spots. They host Kansas late Saturday night.

8. Notre Dame (8–1, Independent)

Remember when Notre Dame vs. Florida State was a heated rivalry game? A 52–3 blowout in South Bend moves the Irish up two spots this week. They host Virginia this Saturday.

9. Alabama (7–2, SEC)

The Crimson Tide went to LSU and hammered the Tigers 42–13 and moved up two spots. They host Mercer this weekend in what amounts to a warm-up game for their home stretch.

10. Mississippi (8–2, SEC)

Ole Miss beat Georgia in the rain on Saturday and moved up six spots, claiming a spot in the top 10 in this week’s poll.

11. Georgia (7–2, SEC)

Georgia’s loss at Mississippi cost them nine spots in the poll this week and gives them two losses on the season, a tough spot to be in with the SEC heating up. The road doesn’t get easier: They host Tennessee on Saturday night.

12. Miami (9–1, ACC)

The Hurricanes lost at Georgia Tech on Saturday, and that cost them eight spots in the poll this week.

13. Boise State (8–1, Mountain West)

Even with a win against Nevada this past weekend, Boise State moves down one spot in the poll this week. They’re at San Jose State on Saturday evening.

14. SMU (8–1, ACC)

SMU had a bye coming off a big win against Pitt and now get Boston College at home on Saturday afternoon.

15. Texas A&M (7–2, SEC)

The Aggies stay put in the poll coming off a bye week. They get New Mexico State at home on Saturday night.

16. Army (9–0, AAC)

Army stayed undefeated and moved up two spots in the poll this week. They have a bye this week before traveling to Notre Dame for a huge game.

17. Clemson (7–2, ACC)

A good win at Virginia Tech moves Clemson up two spots in the poll this week. They’ll travel to face Pittsburgh this weekend.

18. Colorado (7–2, Big 12)

Chaos has hit the Big 12, and Colorado now has a legit shot at the playoff. Their big win at Texas Tech moves them up three spots in the poll this week. The Buffaloes host Utah on Saturday afternoon.

19. Washington State (8–1, Pac-12)

Quietly handling their business in the Pac-12, Washington State beat Utah State and moved up one spot this week. They get New Mexico on Saturday night.

20. Kansas State (7–2, Big 12)

The two-loss KSU squad moves up two spots this week coming off a bye. They host Arizona State on Saturday evening.

21. LSU (6–3, SEC)

The blowout loss at home cost LSU seven spots in the poll, the third largest drop this week. They’ll look to rebounds at Florida this weekend.

22. Louisville (6–3, ACC)

The Cardinals move up three spots this week. They travel to face Stanford on Saturday afternoon.

23. South Carolina (6–3, SEC)

A big road win at Vanderbilt moves South Carolina into the top 25. They’ll host Missouri on Saturday afternoon.

24. Missouri (7–2, SEC)

Mizzou beat Oklahoma at home this past weekend and, with two losses, are still in the SEC picture. But a road game against a hot South Carolina team is on tap for Saturday.

25. Tulane (8–2, AAC)

After hammering Temple 52–6, a two-loss Tulane team joins the rankings this week. They’re at Navy this weekend in a big game in the AAC.
