SoftBank Clocks 6 Percent Revenue Growth in Q3

SoftBank Group Corp. reported a third-quarter FY21 revenue growth of 6 percent Y/Y to ¥1.6 trillion ($13 billion).

Arm revenue grew 20.6 percent Y/Y to ¥66 billion ($571 million).

The gross profit expanded 12.5 percent Y/Y to ¥841.9 billion ($362 million).

SoftBank’s net income declined 95.1 percent Y/Y to ¥59.2 billion ($512 million). EPS was ¥11.43.

Softbank generated ¥2.4 trillion ($20.7 billion) in operating cash flow during the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2021, and held ¥4.6 trillion ($39.8 billion) in cash and equivalents.

SoftBank informed that it is exploring initial offering plans for Arm Ltd. after NVIDIA corp. planned to ditch the idea of its takeover amid regulatory challenges.
