TORONTO—Shen Yun Performing Arts presents Chinese culture to audiences around the world, and people of every ethnicity and background have found Shen Yun to be beautiful and relatable.
“Amazing. Out of this world,” said Rick Jaitley, a nationwide insurance broker.
“I have the greatest love and regard for the culture, the people. I truly adore it,” Mr. Jaitley said.
China was once known as the land of the divine. From the emperor to the people, everyone looked to the heavens for guidance. Shen Yun is striving to bring that divine reverence back.
Shen Yun’s use of its digital backdrop is patented. The versatility of technology allows the set to change scenes in the blink of an eye, giving the stage endless possibilities.
“It blends in with the culture, blends in with the colors. The art itself is out of this world,” Mr. Jaitley said.
“I would love to encourage them to come. I have some friends here tonight with me,” he said.

Ketia Kantcheva and Shah Hussain were also in the audience this evening.
“We thought it was very good,” said Mr. Hussain.
This is Ms. Kantcheva’s second time seeing the performance.
Ms. Kantcheva was impressed with the bravery of the artists, “It’s nice to see that people are not afraid to speak up.”
Shen Yun’s artists are trained in classical Chinese dance, one of the most comprehensive dance systems in the world.
