BOURNEMOUTH, UK—Zuzana Fikaroba attended a Shen Yun performance last year and brought her friends this year to see Shen Yun’s all-new production at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on March 5.

Ms. Fikaroba, a customer relations manager in the aviation industry, loved what she saw.

“I think it’s spectacular. It’s perfection. It’s absolutely stunning. The colors, they’re absolutely stunning. Everything about it, the dance, not only the dance, the music was stunning,” she said.

Presenting a brand-new set of dance pieces, musical compositions, and solo performances each season, Shen Yun takes its audience on a journey through time and space to rediscover the beauty and traditional values of pre-communist China.

The finale was how the Creator comes from the heavens to save people. So people have a connection with the divine.

Ms. Fikaroba said she felt that connection.

“I think it’s a beautiful, beautiful way of seeing the world. It represents kindness, and people being kind to each other. It’s a pure, pure way of living, a pure way of thinking, and looking up to something beautiful that makes people better people,” she said.

Shen Yun made a deep impression on Ms. Fikaroba and said she sensed the love and energy coming from the performers on stage.

“I love how the performance can tell a story without words, and I teared up a couple of times as well. It makes me emotional. It’s beautiful. It’s absolutely perfect, and I'll be back,” she said.

One of her friends, Barbara Vickova, does interior designs for pubs and restaurants, and said, “It was amazing.”

Of a Chinese instrument, the erhu, Ms. Vickova said, “I just absolutely adored that. So pure, clear, lovely.”

Shen Yun features a live orchestra with a unique combination of Eastern and Western instruments, including the two-stringed erhu.

Shen Yun’s finale presents a scene of the Creator arriving on earth to save humanity. For Ms. Fikaroba, it was a fitting end for the entire performance.

“I think it’s the perfect finale basically,” she said. “It just sums up the whole theme. The energy, the thoughts.” For her, there were many ways to describe the glorious scene: “Stunning. Great timing. So synchronized.”

Ms. Vickova said the scene had “beautiful effects, beautiful effects. So precise, so precise. It’s amazing.”

Also, an artist, Ms. Vickova said she uses a color palette similar to what she saw in the costumes of the dancers.

“I do paintings. Actually, it’s funny because many Chinese people looked at my paintings and now I know why because they are such similar colors. I had a splash of color similar as I see now in the beautiful dresses [of the performers].”

Ms. Vickova is inspired by natural materials and saw many of the colors in her work similar to the colors in Shen Yun. “It’s amazing,” she said. She mentioned that she would use some colors in Shen Yun in her work.

Ms. Fikaroba and her friends expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the performers.

“Thank you so much for the amazing, amazing, stunning job,” she said. “You make people happy. You have a lot to give to people. You’re giving happiness and effort.”

Ms. Vickova agreed. “All your effort, training, and every single minute and second in your life is such a pure happiness for people sitting in there,” she said.

“The memories they give to people are priceless,” Ms. Fikaroba said. “I think it’s beautiful. And I‘ll be back. I’ll be back next year. I'll bring my Mum.”
