The Hague, Netherlands, known as the world center of international law and arbitration, once more will host Shen Yun Performing Arts at the city’s World Forum Center. Shen Yun will perform on Jan. 16–17 and Feb. 18–19.

The all-new 2025 season is expected to please audiences as it did in 2024. Gerard Brusse said he was particularly touched by the spiritual theme of the performance.

“That was something which touched me: respecting and accepting of all people and doing everything in harmony. But digging deeper, one discovers a sea of traditional Chinese culture. Mortals and divine beings merge on stage as one. Principles such as benevolence and justice, propriety and wisdom, respect for the heavens, and divine retribution, all come to life, washing over the audience,” Mr. Brusse said.

Conductor Fabio Pirola of Amsterdam said, “It’s very important today to give this message of peace, tolerance, and being a better and better human being on the earth.”

Mr. Pirola felt this may be the crucial challenge of the next century, but with Shen Yun as an example, humanity is headed the right way. He left the performance with a smile, and encouragement for others to do the same.

“It’s marvelous, so I really hope many people, all the people can watch it and enjoy it,” he said.

Based in New York, Shen Yun travels the globe each year with a mission to revive China’s divinely inspired culture, which has been suppressed after decades of communist rule in China. The company currently cannot travel to China.

Johan Bakker felt Shen Yun is an ambassador of such spectacular arts. “It is an eye-opener to see what would be possible in terms of Chinese arts,” he said.
The world Shen Yun brings to life is a civilization steeped in spirituality. China was once known as the Celestial Empire, and spiritual faiths such as Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism were cornerstones of society. This picture of China is unfamiliar to most, as the communist regime in China has been systematically working to destroy traditional culture since it took power 80 years ago.

This year, Shen Yun is set to perform in over 200 cities around the world and across five continents, the 2025 touring season is shaping up to be the artists’ busiest yet and a glorious treat for theatergoers.
