PHILADELPHIA—Many facets of Shen Yun Performing Arts impressed Pentecostal Pastor Saeedah Harrison and her husband, Anthony. 

“I really felt the power of God in this. Whoever did this—I love it!” said Mrs. Harrison after the performance at Merriam Theater.

Both were visibly uplifted by the show. 

“The special effects, the beautiful singing, the opera, the orchestra, the spiritual enlightenment, what they’re speaking about—very good, very good!” Mr. Harrison said.

Shen Yun incorporates state-of-the-art effects to bring to life ancient tales.

Mrs. Harrison was in awe of the dancers. “The way they came out of the screen, they glided, like [in] heaven,” she said, adding that it was a spiritual experience.

Mr. Harrison appreciated that during the singing performances the translation of the lyrics from Chinese to English were projected onto the digital screen. 

Both expressed great enthusiasm and were looking forward to seeing the performance again. Both said they got hope, peace, and a message of freedom from it.

“First time, but I shall return again, Lord willing,” said Mrs Harrison, adding that she can hardly wait to tell her friends about it.
