Last year’s audience in Aix-En-Provence loved the beauty and charm of the heavenly scenes and melodies. Sylvain Clément, the account director at Trivium Packaging, said, “It is full of grace, colorful scenes, music that mixes Western and Chinese aspects. And there is grace, grace, and grace.”
Shen Yun’s spiritual message is not lost on French audiences. Shen Yun draws inspiration from China’s 5,000 years of culture and virtues, which ancient Chinese people believed to be inspired by the divine.
Coming from a country with its own high culture, Yannick Barraud said, “We really enjoyed it. It moves us deeply because we get this smile, this cheerfulness, and this story behind it all.”
“It’s wonderful that they’ve kept this spirituality. And these legends, these tales and legends. It’s wonderful to have all of these preserved,” said Christian Drevin.
Audiences in other cities heaped more praise on Shen Yun’s important message of hope.
“Civilizations are ancient and they were founded on deep human values,” he said.
“In China, the [regime’s] doctrine is historical materialism. And [Shen Yun] shows that, on the contrary, there is something else than this materialism,” he said.
