SEATTLE—It was the third time for Pastor Rex Chade to watch a Shen Yun performance. “It was exceptional, I mean more than exceptional. Very impressive! It needs to be a part of your life experience,” he said at the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall on April 5.
“I know that to perform like that takes a long time of discipline and hard work, excellent instruction, and obedience to it,” Mr. Chade said. “It’s physical, it’s mental, it’s emotional, it’s spiritual. I can see that, and the dedication is ... It’s got to be a lot of work and a major commitment. So I can appreciate that.”
Mr. Chade also resonated with the messages conveyed, “It was overwhelming. I’m completely convinced that the show conveys the heart of our Heavenly Father in a way that everyone can appreciate, no matter where they are in their relationship with Him.”
“We need that more than anything, throughout the world,” he said.
Mr. Chade was inspired by Shen Yun to “strive to do better at what you do.”
He said, “I learned that these performers are at their best. I can do better to be at my best.”
“I’m greatly encouraged, and I was telling myself I can still learn. I can still get better. I am very encouraged by what I see,” he said.
Mr. Chade would love to see more people come and watch the show.
“I would say that it is an experience that I’ve not received in any other way, and so that’s what makes this both unique and valuable. It needs to be a part of your life experience.”
He said that the connection to spirituality “is in everything if our eyes are open and our hearts are open to see.”
