Shen Yun Mesmerizes Milan Audiences: ‘Exceptional’ and ‘Beautiful’

Shen Yun Performing Arts invited audiences from Milan, Italy, into the world of ancient China on Jan. 14 and 15. Audience members said they felt mesmerized by Shen Yun’s artistry.

“This is truly an exceptional show, it is one of the most beautiful shows I have ever seen,” said Renato Testaquadra, a former bank executive. “The set design, backgrounds, I cannot conceive how these backgrounds were created.”

“I loved the perfect music and the wonderful orchestra. It really welcomes you inside and doesn’t leave you listening from the outside. Instead you feel enveloped and a part of the [show],” said Elena Diacono, a business owner.

“The association between the mystical aspects, the landscape aspect, the dance, and the culture that emerges from the artists’ movements is something that is very exciting to me,” said Paolo Pagnotta, a doctor.

“It was an extraordinary performance because it expressed the internal energy of each dancer,” said Egidio De Biase, a business owner. “They lived it with enthusiasm, perfect choreography and extraordinary visual artistry.”

“It is outstanding. I have seen many, but I have never seen anything like this,” said Giovanni Bonatelli, a video maker.

Through classical Chinese dance, music, and stories, Shen Yun aims to revive China’s 5,000-year-old traditions, rich in spiritual and artistic heritage.

“I must say that I came out very happy, because of the message from the show,” said Daria Inghilleri, an editor and writer. “In my opinion, hope. First of all, the thinking that we come from something supernatural. And the hope that our life will then lead us to something equally supernatural.”

“A very beautiful show, wonderful choreography, outstanding costumes,” said Riccardo Fossati, a business owner. “A show that is very reminiscent ... of Chinese culture from before the Cultural Revolution. We enjoyed this piece of history.”

“The audience empathizes so much with this performance. You relate with your heart, with your soul, with your whole self,” said Testaquadra.

Shen Yun will continue to perform in Milan, Italy, until Jan. 20.
