NANTES, France—On Wednesday, Feb. 22, Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company played in front of a full house at the Cité des Congrès.
Jean-Marc Delhumeau is a real estate entrepreneur and his wife, Magalie Delhumeau, a professor at the École Supérieure d'Agriculture in Angers.
“Bravo for everything that is physical, gymnastics, for an athletic performance! It’s quite impressive, and artistically too, it’s very beautiful and harmonious! We can tell it’s very well produced!”
The company director also liked “the music, the classical instruments and the Chinese instruments. I find they go very well together, there are no contradictions, it’s in harmony. I think it’s very nice.”
“There are many beautiful things to see and hear, but there are also profound messages that are cross-cultural and current ... and true in various cultural civilizations. There are a lot of parallels to be drawn with today’s events and with Judeo-Christian culture,” said Mrs Delhumeau.
Mr. Delhumeau also saw “divine” messages, he says, citing the example of the dance narrative about young scholars seeking inspiration and being helped by a deity.
“I liked that message: the Creator who is not far from us and who is ready to help us.”
“In the face of the very difficult times that await us, there are answers. I would like to thank them for this message,” she said.
“Even if there are sacrifices and people who have to lose their lives, it is not useless and it can be fruitful for others. Messages, of courage, of spiritual help.”
“These are things we see a lot. It is very current. I hope many hearts were moved, because it is true that it is terrible, but this is what we are facing today.”
