SEVILLA, Spain—Surgeon Maria Inmaculada Ruiz Gonzalez attended the first of Shen Yun’s three consecutive shows at Cartuja Center Cite on March 7.
“It was amazing and sensational! I really enjoyed it. I cannot wait to see it again next year,” she exclaimed excitedly.
Dr. Gonzales was especially touched by Shen Yun’s music. “They have a curative effect. It’s like having good thoughts about somebody and wishing them well. I closed my eyes to feel the energy of the singers and the instruments.”
Prior to the 1949 communist takeover and its spread of atheism, Chinese citizens were deeply spiritual. For 5,000 years, the teachings of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism formed the basis of their everyday life.
“Some people might call some of the [dance] pieces political, but actually they’re [the truth.] People sometimes just don’t want to see reality or seek the truth,” she said.
“What Shen Yun was saying about people paying attention to [inanimate objects] instead of spending time with other human beings was so true. I’ve already noticed that [in real life].”
“Shen Yun brings the message that we are [divine beings] reincarnated onto this earth. I love it—from heaven to earth—that’s why so many of us are here,” she expressed.
“In [modern] society, Satan is trying to get humanity away from its real connection with God. [Shen Yun’s] music and dancers are awakening everybody to that connection.”
