NEW YORK CITY—Brothers Greg and Richard Martello had celebrated their birthdays seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts—twice.
“This is the second time we’re seeing the show. We loved it that much,” said Mr. Greg Martello, an attorney, on April 12 at Lincoln Center, where Shen Yun is nearing the end of its two-and-a-half week run.
“He’s younger,” Mr. Richard Martello, a teacher, said. “And the funny thing is, he took me for my birthday last week. And now I’m taking him for his birthday this week. We love it that much.”
He said one absolutely feels “a lot of positive energy.”
“It’s like Shen Yun is a little slice of heaven,” he said. “It’s very positive. If you’re feeling depressed or anything like that, this will uplift you and raise your spirits—heavenly. It’s like a magical mystery tour.”
“It definitely awakened your feelings of ‘don’t forget there’s another side to life,’ not just on earth, but in heaven for sure. It awakened your spirituality for sure,” he said.
Mr. Greg Martello said they would be seeing Shen Yun again next year.
